Fortnite Mobile Guide
what is Fortnite Mobile, and how does it stack up to all the various other versions of the game? There’s actually cross-play between every version of Fortnite, with the exception of Xbox and PS4 versions of the game. So for example if you’re playing Fortnite Mobile, then you could be going up against players on Mac or Android (when it launches), as well as Xbox or PS4, but not both consoles at the same time. Although Microsoft has stated that it’s open to bridging this gap between Xbox and PS4, Sony has remained non-committal.
Fortnite Mobile obviously works with touch controls, and the controls for the game are basically divided into two modes: combat mode, and build mode. In combat mode, you can hold down the screen to move, tap to crouch, drag across the screen to aim, and tap to shoot. As for the Fortnite Mobile controls when you’re in build mode, you’ll be moving in the same way by dragging your finger in a direction, but the build controls themselves are all touch based, with all your options appearing on the screen at once for you to play around with.
How to Get a Fortnite Mobile iOS Invite
To sign up to be invited on to Fortnite Mobile for iOS devices, you’re going to have to head over to the official website, where you can register your email address to be in with a chance of receiving an invitation from Epic to download the game. In order to actually play Fortnite on your iOS device, you’ll need at least one of the following: iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4/Pro/Air 2, all of which have to be running on at least iOS 11.
Check your email, and if you’re lucky you’ll eventually receive an email from Epic, with a link to download the Fortnite Mobile app. The invite email itself will feature a URL which will take you to the download for Fortnite Mobile, which you’ll have to open in Safari and hit download. Then, once you’re in the Fortnite Mobile app, hit the ‘Yes’ option when asked if you received an invite, and you’ll be taken straight into the game.
Fortnite Android Release Date
for Fortnite Android, you’ve unfortunately got no choice but to play the waiting game. Epic currently has a launch window which is “at least a few months” away for Fortnite Android, suggesting it could be hitting at some point in Summer 2018.
